This live-action film stars the four "turtles", named after Renaissance artists, as Jim Henson-designed Muppet-style creatures. The turtles live in the sewers of a big city after having been mutated by exposure to radiation. Their Ninja master is Splinter the Rat (Kevin Clash). They are also aided by a loyal television reporter, April O'Neil (Judith Hoag), in their battle against the evil warlord Shredder (James Saito), a 17th-century Japanese villain mutated into a big-city crime boss. Their mission is to save the city while munching plenty of pizza. This time, the turtles go back in time to ancient Japan, where they further their training with ancient techniques and assist a small village in an uprising.
