A preposterous-looking giant bird from outer space terrorizes the earth and lays an egg on Quebec. The winged horror is able to avoid detection by the use of a radar-resistant shield. Scientists devise equipment to pierce monster's antimatter shield so U.S. Air Force can shoot it down over the Atlantic.
